“I know that my late father-in-law, Gerald Finzi, the celebrated British composer, would have been deeply touched and delighted that Matthew and his former members of Wells Virtuosi are reuniting to create the Finzi Chamber Orchestra. Having heard and seen the remarkable standards of music making they achieved under Matthew’s direction when they were children it is especially moving to see them come together again. I can't think of anything more exciting or organic.
